TÁWID™ is a Philippine contemporary brand for jewelry, apparel, textiles, and objects that carry historical and cultural significance into everyday life.
THE NAME
A word about passage and inheritance.
The name TÁWID speaks to inheritance, heritage, legacy, passage, and stewardship: what is received from those before us, what we carry in the present, and what we leave for those who follow.
TÁWID™ pieces are contemporary. They are not presented as reproductions of traditional cultural objects. Their significance comes from research, materials, memory, landscape, and the continuing human practice of wearing and carrying objects that hold meaning.

Our idea of luxury is not excess. It is intention: care, quality, restraint, meaning, and a responsibility to present material and cultural information as carefully as the object itself.
Material integrity
Materials are selected for quality, character, suitability, provenance where available, and story. Natural variation remains visible rather than being treated as a flaw.
Craft & finish
Construction, proportion, wearability, durability, finishing, and the handmade character of a piece are part of the standard—not afterthoughts.
Documentation & care
Story cards, product registration, customer education, and eligible Care & Repair pathways support the piece beyond the moment of purchase.
FOUNDER & STEWARDSHIP

Fatima Jenesis Rosario is a cultural historian, educator, curator, cultural worker, and entrepreneur. TÁWID™ was built at the intersection of historical research, material culture, public history, teaching, curation, enterprise, and social purpose.

These disciplines guide how TÁWID™ approaches objects through historical research, material analysis, gemmological knowledge, evidence, interpretation, curation, and stewardship.
SCHOLARS & COMMUNITY
Heritage is carried through people.
Since 2016, the founder’s initiatives and, later, TÁWID™ have supported 43 scholars, helped three communities, and produced eight research works. These cumulative figures include work undertaken before TÁWID™ was established; they are not TÁWID-only totals. In the first semester of AY 2026–2027, TÁWID™ provided educational assistance to 12 confirmed scholars across Benguet State University, the University of the Philippines Baguio, and the University of Baguio.
The scholarship program sits within a wider practice that has created opportunities for students, local makers, out-of-school youth, young mothers, and single parents through making, selling, research support, creative work, workshops, and other livelihood activities.

Work with a social purpose.
TÁWID™ has supported students, out-of-school youth, young mothers, and single parents through part-time work, learning support, and selected community activities. TÁWID™ also supports research, workshops, and opportunities that help people create and carry their own stories.
